Journal entry/blog attempt from November…

"I've been home from training camp for over a week now. Sitting down and writing a blog about it has proven to be really difficult. It's not that I can't put into words what happened there. I've been telling people all week about our weird, [un]comfortably close sleeping arrangments, interesting food, sweet [frequent] dance parties, and of course, my favorite part SQUAD WARS.

The part I can't explain is what happened to me. There was a powerful and significant change in my heart and mind that I've never experienced before.

I experienced freedom. Complete acceptance from the people around me. Deep love and care from people who saw in me what God so carefully and wonderfully put together. My iron grip on shame, anger and resentment loosened as God took it."

"I'll take care of all of this."
He said.

Of course, as we were warned, being back from training camp and preparing for launch has been difficult. So quickly and easily does shame, anxiety and fear creep back into my mind, causing doubt. The enemy has been working hard trying to get to me. Turns out he's losing HORRIBLY. Go Jesus.
A few examples include:

#1 – November: First snow storm and on my way to church, I get cut off by someone very suddenly…

Thank you Jesus that aside from some really banged up knees and a little whiplash, I was not hurt.    RIP Civic

Recovered after a week and got to enjoy being in my element before I'm off to the world of sweating my face off for a year 🙂

Snow Day with Eric Nordhues (Team Doulos)  Storm Total: 50" or so… of delicious Utah powder.

#2 – December:  Borrowing a friend's car, about to go to work and I find it like this…

Thank you Jesus that I was not inside when this thing spontaneously burst into flame!!!

#3 – In the midst of all this, I've also been presented with difficult decisions at every turn, some that have even threatened to sabotage my plans to launch with my squad next week. But there's GOOD NEWS…

This is not too big for God.

God thank you!!! Thank you for having my back, for loving me, protecting me. You are in complete control. All praise and honor is Yours. Thank you thank you thank you for taking me to be Yours, using me to bring You glory and to speak the Holy name and Love of GOD to so many nations!!!
