Im in Nicaragua!!!
So its pretty flippin fantastic here. Central America feels like home. I think it might be because we’re in the same time zone, or because they speak Spanish and i can sort of understand whats going on, or because i love palm trees and they are plentiful here… who knows why- but im super happy to be here. Its almost like theres a more peaceful spirit over this place. Ive had awesome times with the Lord, He’s been speaking to me like crazy- and im experiencing new freedom in His love!!!
Sort of strange- while im typing there is a bilingual parrot next to me and its creepin me out. It keeps whispering “hello…” and something that sounds like “ropa” which if im translating correctly means clothes… Shes scary. and she bites. Not as bad as the mosquitos, but still.
Anywho we’ve been able to do some pretty sweet ministry in the short amount of time we’ve been here. We went to a home for the elderly which was interesting trying to have a convo in Spanish- i need a refresher course. Praying for tongues!!! Then we also worked at a preschool, worked with youth, and did door to door in the local “barrios” or neighborhoods. All of which we’re speaking to all Spanish speakers! Its been challenging and amazing.
Ps we went to a volcano today! Got to hike around, look inside at the smoke coming up, breathe the sulfur air… it was refreshing 🙂
