So ive been here in Ukraine for about a week now. It has
definitely been interesting. So far it’s rained almost  every day. There are lizards everywhere, as
well as chickens, cats, dogs, and bugs. Yesterday at dinner  I got pecked by a chicken under the table!

We hiked up a mountain with the kids. I forgot to take my
inhaler, and about halfway up I started to get alarmed. It was mostly in my
head, I was so convinced that there wasn’t enough oxygen bubbles in the
air-plus all the what-ifs(like what if I pass out, how will the get me off this
mountain?).  After I started to get dizzy
I began to pray fervently and pressed on (I came very close to quitting when
the opportunity presented itself). At the top of the mountain I realized that
God had come through, just like He always does. (ps next time im taking my
inhaler, don’t wanna test God)

So Ukraine. Some of you may be wondering what exactly im
doing here (other than climbing mountains and burning myself). Our team is
staying at a Christian summer camp for kids. We have done a lot of behind the
scenes work- cleaning, preparing etc. We’re in the second week of camp, so we
just got a new group of kids. I think its cool because a lot of these kids have
never even heard about Jesus. And most of the rest have heard, but don’t have a
relationship with Him. We’re beginning to develop relationships with them- just
playing and loving on them. It’s not quite what I expected, they’re 12-17 years
old. Its definitely challenging me to step outside the box that I’ve labeled
“missions.”  Although there is a major
language barrier, these kids are fascinated with Americans, and seem to want to
get to know us.  We’ve been asked to give
our testimonies throughout this week, and I’ve been thinking on what I should
say. I’ve always known through all the hard stuff I’ve endured in life, that
someday God would use it to His glory, strange that the time has come.

Hey just a heads up, im still several thousand dollars away from my next funds goal, so if you can give or pray for me I would appreciate it!
