With Thanksgiving directly behind us, I sit here reminded of all the many blessings God has lavishly bestowed upon me.

I am so blessed .
    I am so spoiled.

My heart is breaking as I think of how well off I am compared to the hurting people all over this world.

There are orphans who are crying out for an embrace.  These precious babies just want someone to love them.  They deserve to be loved. Do they realize there are those of us whose arms are simply aching to hold them or do they feel forgotten?

There are children on the streets of third world countries who are forced to make the choice between stealing or going hungry. Do they know there is a God who cares enough to make sure their needs are always met if they learned to trust Him?  Have they been told there is a better way?

What about the young girls who are forced into giving away their bodies time and time again.  These little girls then turn into women who are now caught in the sex slave industry because they feel hopeless and see no way out.  What if this was your daughter, your sister, your friend?  What would you want to tell her?  Wouldn’t you do everything possible to set her free? Everything in me is screaming out for justice.  I desperately want these girls to understand that they are valuable.  They are loved.  They are beautiful.  God can restore them and make them clean again.  Innocent again.  Pure.  Holy.  How could this change their lives if they understood these truths?

We often find ourselves ignoring the hurts and needs in other countries.  Not necessarily because we don’t care, but because we feel hopeless and don’t know how to help.  Now is your chance to step up and make a difference.  Allow me to be your hands and your feet as you send me out as your representative into 11 countries next year.  You have the opportunity to embrace an orphan, provide meals for starving children, free the oppressed from the sex slave industry and much more, all from the comfort of your own home.  Please prayerfully consider giving generously to provide hope and healing for the widows, the fatherless, the hungry.  God commands us to love the least of these. Are you willing to step a little out of your comfort zone and make a difference?  Are you willing to walk this journey with me and watch God change lives?

“I believe He wants us to love others so much that we go to extremes to help them.”
