Hey everybody!

Thank you for visiting, subscribing or even accidentally landing on my page. My hope is that through reading these blogs, your eyes will be opened to a whole new world..maybe one you never even knew existed. I hope these blogs will shatter the lens from which you view everyday life and re-define the way life ought to be lived.. through the lens of Christ and acted out accordingly, as each of us are called by Him. I hope that you will find my stories inspiring, hope-filled, encouraging, and even heart-wrenchingly beautiful. Rest assured, every blog will be different and unique.

One of the most important things my mother ever taught me has been to be intentional about the way I view and engage life; “Live in the moment Sare” she would always say. From a young age, I learned to embrace my current situation, even if it was one that was ill-desired, mostly because this privilege called life — is just that; a gift and despite whatever else I’d rather be doing, it is my duty to see the good in all healthy circumstances. On top of this, I have always been aware that our time here on earth is like vapor — limited in moments and time ever so fleeting. I will always feel like this is one of the greatest lessons we can teach those around us; appreciating life for what is is, rather than what it can give us.

A couple of facts about me..

For starters, I think this world would be a better place if all there was to listen to was: Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Norah Jones or even just the tender melody of “Clair De Lune.” My Spotify is undeniably one of many colorful varieties as music is something I seek for comfort, pleasure and often get lost in.

While I won’t miss another midwest winter next year, I will most certainly miss spring. Besides the fact that spring is a beautiful season in which all senses are pleasantly engaged, it is one that is often a reminder of how life can be made new again. Spiritually, it is like a whisper from God declaring his ever loving grace and mercy on us; to keep the past shames, hurts, and regrets buried deep in the soggy ground and to allow the new season, a wholesome and fresh start.

I have three brothers and three sisters who are all close to my heart as well as my amazing parents who I owe the world to for being some of the most genuine and unconditionally loving people I have and will ever know. When I am not working, it is safe to say that I am most likely spending time with my family as we are such a close unit.

I have a tabby named Benny who lives quite possibly the best life of any other feline alive.. His sole purpose in life is to cuddle with me so if he isn’t already disrupting my book reading, Netflix watching, or blog writings..he generally isn’t too far away and like a ninja, is making his way into my room to plop his body right on top of whatever I am working on.

I enjoy working out and taking care of my body — I have hopes that it will serve me well into old-age if I continue down the path I am on. On the contrary, I do love a good bucket of chocolate chip cookie dough which I seemingly have NO self control around. Not everyone knows this however, so it will be our little secret (perks to reading these blogs) 😉

I work for a private ambulance service in Rockford, IL where I currently reside. Essentially, I have always wanted to work in EMS. I am so grateful for the opportunity that my company has given me not only to be able to live out my childhood dream, but also the knowledge and experience I have gained in this field.

Talk to you guys soon!
