Ready for a challenge? God wants to use YOU. Do you ever feel like I do? You’ll be walking along the street and you’ll see someone on the sidewalk bent over, maybe crippled, usually dirty, and begging for money? They are everywhere in the world, people that need help. What do you do when you see them? Do you pass them by? Maybe feel a little guilty especially if you are holding a Starbucks coffee in your hand or wearing that new outfit? Do you think, beggars are everywhere and I can’t help them all so why bother?

Recently I heard a story about a boy that was walking along the beach one day. He was tossing starfish back in the ocean. An older man walked up to him and wanted to know what he was doing. The boy said that he was saving the starfish. The older man said but there are millions out there and you can’t save them all. You can’t make a difference here. The boy picked up a starfish threw him in the ocean and said I made a difference in this one’s life.

The Holy Spirit has really been convicting me lately. I may not be able to give money or time to every beggar I see. But that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t do something. I challenge you to help someone in need. You have no idea how you could change someone’s life, the worst thing you can do is nothing at all.

God reminded me today that we aren’t just to feed their flesh but also their souls.

Here are a few pics that I stole from Katey so you could see how beautiful it is here!
