Hey all!
So, I just wanted to take a minute to share more about what the World Race is and details specifically about my World Race…!
The World Race is an 11 month Christian mission trip that visits 11 countries in 11 months! I’m on the Fusion team, so right now the countries we plan to visit are as follows: Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Latvia, Ukraine, Romania, Bosnia, Botswana, South Africa, and Swaziland! Whew!
Throughout the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to: preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of God’s love to many tribes and nations!
As with other mission organizations, World Race participants are required to fundraise financial support. In order to leave fully funded on January 6th, 2016, I need to raise $16,562. I’ve already saved a portion of this that I’m contributing towards this amount. However, I’m inviting people to partner with me on this journey!
Fundraising deadlines are as follows:
September 25th – $3,500
December 18th- $10,000
February 29th- $13,000
April 29th- $16,562
It’ll cost roughly $50 a day and we’ll be gone for about 332 days. I’ll be about 120 days in Asia, 122 days in Europe and 90 days in Africa. If you’d like to sponsor a specific day in one of those regions, let me know. I’m keeping track on my map! 😉
Already I have 34 of my days paid for! So, I only have 298 days left to cover!
