I can’t believe this is out last night in Pnom Penh!   I still have more stories to write about my time here and I will work on them during our debrief time.   Please pray for our transition time: tomorrow we are getting on a bus and meeting all of the other teams in another province, Siem Reap.   We will also have a chance to visit a famous historic 12th century temple, Angkor Wat (do an Image Search and check out some pictures, it’s amazing).  Then we head back for Bangkok for a few days and it’s off to the Philippines.

Finally:

This is my latest installment of my Meat Log. This was promised to a few friends to alert them to new meats I am eating while I am out here. You can find more background information here.

I decided to expand it… outside of the meat world we are eating lots of interesting foods and having experiences I certainly never had at home!

Thailand: New Fruits: Dragon Fruit, Longon, Rambutan, Eating sheep we slaughtered at the farm skinned butchered and bbqd that night, pig intestine soup, sleeping in a tree house, planting a pineapple field, using a hoe to mow the front lawn, eating fried frog, using a machete to make sticks to plant in the front yard which will grow into a fence, surfing at a lake, eating a whole fish, Bananas boiled in coconut milk (best dessert ever), bright pink taxicabs, tuktuks

Cambodia: Riding a motorcycle sidesaddle (riding a moto at all), eating fermented duck egg (a delicacy here- Hard boiled 19 day old duck eggs (Containing a fully formed baby duck fetus) ), “Shark Fruit Eyes” which is actually “Shake Fruit on Ice” but we thought we were getting fruit and shark eyes right until the fruit smoothie was set down in front of us!, eating fruit salad in coconut milk topped with shaved ice and one raw egg cracked over top,  Jack Fruit, Twice Baked Frog on a Stick
