Our time here in the beautiful city of Antigua, Guatemala has already come and gone.
Guatemala is beautiful and I would love to come back here for a longer period of time someday.
Although we have only been here for a week, over that period of time I have fallen in love with the people and the culture here.
We have been busy volunteering at a local hospital working with mentally handicap children.
It was so much fun hanging out with the kids, we had wheelchair races and make complete fools of ourselves just to see the smiles from the kids.
Those smiles are the priceless ones.
We have also been volunteering at a local ministry called Gods Child.
It is a school that helps the local communities by giving education opportunities to children who would otherwise be working or living in poverty.
Today we did a drama for the kids, and hung out with them on their fieldtrip to the local futball stadium.
I have never in my life had so many kids hanging from me, braiding my hair, and pulling on my legs.
With the hard work also comes our rewarding times of playing hard.
We were able to climb to the top of a local active volcano called Pacaya.
The hike was very rewarding; as we were able to actually walk over oozing, hot lava!
It was so much fun, and the whole way Leah and I kept saying to each other, “I cant believe we are actually in Guatemala hiking up a volcano, God must really love us!”

Early tomorrow morning we will be leaving on a LONG bus ride to El Salvador, where we will spend the night, and then continue on another LONG bus ride to Nicaragua.
We will most likely be spending the rest of our month doing ministry on an island in Nicaragua.

Please keep us in your prayers, and check out some of my other pictures in my pictures site to the left of this page!
