“In truth, despite the many plans I’ve made, the future seems like a fogged up mirror to me. I’m there, but not clearly visible or recognizable.” (a quote from the book, Rooftops of Tehran)

In two days I will be leaving for the Philippines. I have read the blogs, and heard from other racers about what this year could look like, but in all actuality I have no idea what is in store. One of the things I am most looking forward to is finding out what we will be doing in each country. So many questions yet to be answered, mysteries to solve, plans to unfold…

I will be turning 30 the day we land. This may not rock your world, but it does mine. It was on my birthday last year that I was praying about what this next year would hold for me. I feel as though landing on my birthday is God’s amazing gift to me. I never thought this adventure would be possible…to do a trip like this seemed like a distant dream. I am so thankful my prayers are being answered in God’s perfect timing.

I have this image of God watching over all of us going on The World Race, anticipating all of our reactions and responses as we unwrap this amazing gift he has placed in our laps. He already knows what we will be doing and the relationships we are going to form. He has so much good to bestow on us, and is asking us to just walk in the path he has set before us. I feel so priviliged and lucky to be setting off on this amazing journey.

Here is a picture to show you what I will be living out of for the next 11 months…Crazy!

Look out world…here I come:)
