On Monday, some teammates and I took our offday to motorbike to a waterfall near Mae Sot, Thailand, where we are living this month. It was the most beautiful waterfall I’ve ever seen in my life. I encountered Jesus in such a fresh way after climbing up the waterfall and hiding in the crevices behind the falls. As usual, Jesus spoke to me metaphorically, and I wrote a poem as soon as we got back home later that day. It turned out different than what I expected, but that always happens when I write poems because they tend to just write themselves. Anyway, here’s my poem for anyone who wants to chew on something for a while. Jesus’ metaphors are the best!

(I’m still working on a title, so if anyone has any thoughts, I’d love to hear them. Also, poetry critiques are my absolute FAVORITE! You’re welcome to email them to me here: [email protected]
