World Race Training Camp: where roughly 300 men and women seeking after God’s calling come together at Adventures in Missions in Georgia to get a small taste of what it’s like on the field. We praise, eat, sleep, cry, laugh, break, love, learn and work together. There are five squads leaving in January 2015: M, N, O, P and Q (3rd generation). I’m part of Q squad, or as we like to say, sQuad! Our sQuad color is purple, and they’re some of the most amazing men and women I’ve ever met in my life! The picture below shows the entire camp with all the squads; mine is the purple on on the right-ish side.

We went through different sleeping simulations every night, packed up all our things every (rainy) morning, worked together as a unit, encouraged one another when times got tough, and loved one another when the Lord worked on our hearts. It was one of the hardest, most emotional, and greatest weeks of my life. I learned the beautiful characters of so many brothers and sisters, and learned to trust and love them as well. The pictures below is my squad, and I’m the dork with the purple crocheted beard in the front.

These people rock my world. I can’t get enough of them. Just look at all that fire and passion. Just looking at that picture makes my heart happy. I can’t wait to see them again in January for launch. I get to bring God’s kingdom to earth with each of these beauties in eleven different countries next year! WOOH! Each one of these unique humans bring something different to my life, and I couldn’t be more thankful or full of love for them. They all make my heart overflow with love and joy. Here’s another picture of some people that make my heart burst with joy:

Over the course of the week, the World Race staff observes and prays over our squad. They ask the Lord to pull out leaders from the group for individual teams, and test to see how we work together. Near the end of the week they announce the teams we will work with on the field. Pictured below is my team!!!

These guys are incredible warriors for God. I can’t say enough about each of them. Seriously. I’m still in such wonder and excitement that I get to serve the Lord alongside these six incredible humans. The woman standing to my left is Alyssa, and she will be leading our team! After they announced our team, we ran around screaming in joy. One of the staff members prayed over our team, and said, “I just envision a current running through this team.” It struck a chord with each of us, and we decided to name our team Rabah Current. The Hebrew word Rabah means to multiply or make great, and we plan to multiply God’s love and healing power in all the nations together. We love the word “current” because it carries a multitude of different meanings. We feel it will gain more meaning and power through our work on the field. Current: the river of life, the river where we go to meet our Lord, the flowing power of love we have in Christ, always moving forward. Current: electricity that flows to power many different things, only working if we all stay connected. Current: the here, the now, the present.
Rabah Current: God’s dream team looking to multiply the nations where His love electrifies and overwhelms the weary and brokenhearted, meeting Him in the middle of His river where He waits for His children to drop everything and follow Him. We’re ready, Lord.
