After 32 hours of travel I arrived in Nairobi, Kenya. As a squad we stayed at Milimani backpackers for a few days to learn about the Kenyan culture and recover from jetlag.

The next day my team and I rode the bus for ten hours to get to our ministry site in Siayia. We are living with the pastor of the church we are partnering with this month.

We had a jam packed first day full of eating huge quantities of food, seeing/hearing a pig get slaughtered, riding on a boda boda, riding a motorcycle and taking a bucket shower.
