Before reading about my launch take a look at what “Project Unglued” is about and my passion in the previous blog called “My Passion is Arising”

Today we all wake up and make food for street kids. Today is the launch of “Project Unglued”. Everyone is supportive and helping where needed. Our goal was to cook for about 300 kids. Lots of potatoes, rice, beans and corn. We place the food in individual plastic bags. None of us knew what to expect today. We had no idea how people would react or how the actual feeding would go. All I knew was this was meant to happen today. I was at peace, excited and ready to go!!!
We hop in the van and start out on our journey. I have so many emotions inside of me. While talking to God on the way there he started to confirm that the project is off to a launch and this would not be the end of it.
“Day by day and step by step he will lead me”
As we pull up to where the kids were gathered the boys were ages 7 to early 20’s. Sniffing glue, dirty, lost, hungry and crying out for help. Our pastor told me that most kids have parents who do not care for them or where they go. Some of them are orphaned and roam the streets. My heart was filled with joy, anxiousness and hurt for these kids. They want so badly to be loved. I was ready to feed and hug on them. I was ready for jumping into what God has called me to do. It is so easy to sit back and ignore your calling because you are lazy or it would be too much work. Thats what I want to do… I do not want to step into what God has called me to do. I am tired, it will be a lot of work and I feel alone. I need someone to partner with me. If we all had that attitude nothing would get done. That attitude is out of me. He continues to confirm things about “Project Unglued” so how can I sit back?
We form 2 lines for the kids to stand and wait on their food. Women are passing out food while men are on line control. To our own understanding of westernized lines this is not how they do it in East Africa. They are hungry and while sniffing glue they are satisfied. Once the food touches their mouth they are starving. They fight for more food. They have a right to the food. They long for their starvation to go away.
You look them in the eyes and they are “gone”, lost and hungry. What more can you do then to feed, hug, love and pray for them?
You want to see and work with the least of these? Listen to God and go to the streets of Eldoret, Kenya. There are over 1,000 street kids who roam around and sniff glue. They want love. Get up and take a stand with me. Follow, pray and support ” Project Unglued”.
I received hug after hug and smile after smile…. That was all the confirmation that I needed. God did so much in the lives of these children, 2 world race teams and myself.
You want to ask yourself why people live like dogs. We can ask ourselves “why” over and over. What will that do? Cause madness and bitterness towards others? Or you can rise up for what you know is right and take a stand. This is my lesson from God when he began to put this passion in my heart.
