These are the things I learned and experience while being in the Tek Thla Village in Puok, Cambodia.

Government workers make about 80 dollars a month.

Under a dollar a day poverty is about fifty percent.

Ankor Wat is the largest temple in the world.

The bottom of Ankor Wat is as big as Manhattan. New York.

Most people do not go past sixth grade.

S-21 " The killing Fields" is the largest prison for the Cambodian Pol Pot's Regime Genocide.

Buddhism if the predominant religion here.

Buddhism is where people act good because that predestines their afterlife.

It is very conservative country and you will not find them wearing a lot of tank tops and shorts. They will also swim in their clothes in bodies of water.

The national language is Khmer.

I showered with a bidet hose this month…. Yes I did.. The shower trickled.

Random village kids will come and hug you and it makes your heart melt.

Random kids will jump on your bike and want to ride on the back while you peddle them around.

Rice was with every meal.

Babies up to age four wear no pants… seriously. I saw more naked babies then when I worked in a daycare.

A tuk tuk or a bike was my transportation the entire month.

I got used to riding a moto and I used no hands!

KFC serves rice instead of mashed potatoes.. true story.

Cambodia was just great. Period.
