and responsibility.
God invented freedom. We have the choice to act on our freedom anyway we choose.
In America we are free. What does that mean to you?
We are free to say what we want, we are free
to walk down the street, we are free to have any
friends we want and choose the music we want to listen
to. We are free to not have to cover our shoulders and
head to wear whatever we want. We have so much freedom
that it is hard to grasp what to do with it all.
In other countries some women can not talk to a man.
In other countries a woman may not sit a table with a man.
In some countries women have to cover everything but their face.
In some countries the darker the skin the lesser of a person you are.
Can you imagine what that is like?
We can not fathom being in that predicament because we have that freedom.
No matter who you are Christ gave us all the same freedom.
Jesus said " You know the truth and the truth will set you free"
God gives us many opportunities to be free. If we choose to love one another because that is what the bible says and your parents tell you to do, then you will become tired. If you go through ministries doing the same thing everyday because you have to, then you will become tired.
If our actions are prescribed we may do
the right thing but love will not be the motivator.
Wow… that really hit me. Why do I do some of the things I do? Because I have to or I want to?
So, I challenge you today as you are reading this blog while sitting on the couch watching TV, picking your child up from school, on your phones while in class or sitting at your desk at work.
Are you tired? Why do you choose to do things that you do for others, the community and for your family? Are you going through the motions or is love actually the real motivator….
I was once tired, alone and not willing to change. My freedom was restored and I have a whole new preception what it means to be free in your mind, body and soul….
Chose and think how you will spend your freedom. Not everyone has the same opportunity as we do. Freedom exists so that love can exist.

PS I leave Chicago Saturday September 8 at 3:25 for Hong Kong. I have a 5 1/2 hour layover in Hong Kong and then we head to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and will arrive there at 5:30 am on Monday morning.
