It is hard to believe everything that is happening! Tomorrow I fly out to Georgia for Training Camp! I was super excited to find out that I will have a flight buddy also 🙂 I can hardly believe that it was almost a year ago that I started seriously considering being a part of the World Race and now there is only 2 months before we launch!
It has been a learning experience that I will never forget. God has been there with me the entire time! I am rendered absolutely speechless by the support that I have received not only financially, but through prayer and encouragement! There is something incredibly special about having people support you as a person. I have been a part of group fundraising before, but never solo fundraising like this. While I fully believe that it God’s doing, the knowledge that He was able to use me to touch people enough for them to support me so generously is so special! I have now been able to hit my second goal of $10,000.00 and as of today I have raised 60% of my overall fundraising. Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed in any way.
Tomorrow starts the next part of this journey for me. I am so excited to meet the rest of my squad and all of the people who are going to be a part of this journey with me. Reflecting on how far I have come in just a year and half has been mind boggling. I am absolutely blessed to have an incredible group of people who have been with me through out this process so far. They have supported me and talked with me about what they hope for me. They have reminded me time and time again just how much they believe in me and in what God is doing in my life!
I’m not sure how to explain why, but this feels like just as much of a farewell as if I were leaving for more than 10 days. Maybe it is that I think that I will be different when I come back to Colorado after training camp. I think that it is more that there is an anticipation and an excitement that is starting to bubble over. I am so excited to see just how training camp is going to start to change me. I look forward to sharing with you what happens.
