7 Days until Naomi, Hugh, and Myself Pack Up && Road Trip to Atlanta, Georgia for Training Camp!!Countdown to Launch Date – 85 Days
God has just been so AMAZING… in just 3 days I have $1,300 donated! How Awesome!!
I am short just $310 that I need by the time that I get to camp.. I have no doubt that God is going to provide!!
Its been a while since I have written, so I kind of want to debrief you in everything that has been going on!!
D Squad!!
We have officially been named the D Squad!! I cannot express how excited I am about traveling around the world with this particular group of people!! One of my biggest worries about this year long mission trip was homesickness, but I dont have to remind you that God never fails! He has provided me with another family!! I cant explain the bond I have with these people that I have never met!! It is so awesome how we can talk on the phone for hours and never run out of things to say! The other day we even had four people on the phone at the same time! Confusing, but totally awesome!!
I just want to think God for these amazing people and ask you to keep all of us in your prayers as we begin to travel to camp this next week in Atlanta, GA.
Next on my list, DONATIONS!! I cant express the appreciation I have in my heart for those who have donated to my World Race! Last Saturday, I had a garage sale and also baby sat 7 kids that night! I made $200 all together. Inbetween Saturday and Monday I recieved a $400 donation from a supervisor at work, $200 from a friend of mine, and a $500 anonynous donation (whom I found out later was my aunt & uncle)!! Can you believe it!! $1,300 in just 3 days!! How awesome is my God!! I just need $310 more by the time I get to camp on the 16th, so if you could pray that God provides the money!! I know that he will!!
GEAR!! All of my Gear was purchased by my Mom!! We got everything on Friday!! I was so excited!! Tent, Sleeping Pad. Sleeping Bag, Pack, ENO, etc… EVERYTHING!! Thanks Mom!! So I get home and you know I have got to try something out… so I pull out my self inflating sleeping pad. I unscrew the cap roll it out and wait…. waiting…. waiting….
still waiting…. ok this thing is not going to self inflate so I blow some air in and tighten the cap… my family takes turns laying on it… I layed on it for a while… then decided to put it up! This thing is also suppose to deflate when you release the cap. I unscrew it… nothing! So I lay down on it to get all the air out… rolled it up and left the room.
I came back about an hour later and the dang thing has self inflated!! ughh
So my next financial deadline is December 18, 2011!! I have to have $7,500 in my account by that date!!
I cannot wait to see what God teaches me with this next deadline!! I really cant wait to see how he provides it!!
I hope that you have not yet invested in my World Race that you will! I hope God lays it on your heart to give!!
