So this is where I am suppose to tell you all about me..
My name is Sara Elizabeth Wardell and I am 20 yrs old!! ( I think I will be the baby of the squad, because I dont turn 21 until May 2012 while we are on the race!! ) I grew up in Palestine, Tx and graduated from Cayuga High School!! Go WILDCATS!!I played most sports and was in love with Cheerleading!! But all that came to an end my Junior yr when I injured my knee and had to have multiple surgeries, which took me out of everything the rest of my high school career. Now, I still enjoy playing sports whenever I get the chance!! I also LOVE to watch football and baseball!! New Orleans SAINTS && Texas Ranger!! Oh yeah you know!! Family is very important to me!! I dont know what I would do with each and everyone of my very LARGE family!! Starting out with my Mom and Mark (stepdad ) those two have done so much for me! I love them so much.. not to mention my mom is one of my best friends!! Then of course, There is Dad and Jennifer ( stepmom ) , these two are due lots of thank you’s that a lot of times they dont recieve!! && last but not least my sister, Micheala, my best friend!! Sometimes she drives me absolutley nuts, but she always keeps me laughing!! I love her with my whole entire heart!! I also have 5 step sisters Tammy, Terri, Charly, Chelsie, Taylor and the 2 step brothers Jamie and Marcus ( who are both serving in the Navy )!! Then I have my wonderful neice and nephews!! Marissa, Hayden, Corbin, Jackson, and Chandler!! A very important person, who has always played a big role in my life, is my Granny Sue.. she is the strongest and bravest woman I have ever known.. I look up to her and only wish I can be as good of a person as she is.. she has been my hero lots of times and my shoulder to cry on, and a good person to talk to because “she aint going to take no ones side”!!Then wayy to many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins to name!!
I work at the Palestine Regional EMS and really enjoy my job! I kind of followed in my mothers foot steps, she worked here most of my younger years.. so everyone was already like a big family to me!! Our director has actuall been one of my biggest financial supporters for my mission trip!! Big shout out to Chuck Skinner!! This is not my life long career decision but just something to do while I figure it out!! I dont know what I want to get my bachelors or masters in yet, but I eventually think that I would really like to apply to medical school, and specialize in something like cardiology. The heart is amazing!! The way it works and all the things it takes for it to work… you know that it could be made by none other than God. A couple of random facts.. I love the state of Lousiana.. the culture, the food, the people.. just everything!! I moved there for a little while, but soon came back to be closer to my parents!! I am very accident prone… Im probably the only girl you have ever met to fall out of an ambulance while at work and break there foot!!.. true story! umm.. I snore like a bear so I feel pretty sorry for anyone who is rooming with me or setting up camp anywhere close to my tent during the race!! Ill probably buy everyone some ear plugs as a present when we leave!! I LOVE to sing and Im not to bad at it either!! So this pretty much sums me up!! I have a crazy passion for The World Race and I am just soo excited.. I can hardly wait!!Keep up with my blog and Follow me around the world!!
