Well, as many of you know, I have about 9 months to raise $15,500 so I can actually participate in this amazing journey that God has presented me with! This will cover my travel (both air and land), my food and my lodging for the 11 months.
Whoa, what??? How in the world will I ever be able to do that? What a daunting task!
I pray about this EVERYDAY! God will provide, God will touch the hearts of my friends and family, God will speak to YOU!! Please help me!
And truthfully, there is no way I can do this, but God can. "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Phil 4:13
Here is my timeline:
- $3,500 – Due 5/5/2012 (2 weeks before Training Camp)
- $6,500 – Due 6/17/2012 (2 weeks prior to your trip)
- $11,000 – Due 10/1/2012 (End of 3 months on the field)
- $15,500 – Total Due 1/1/2013 (End of 6 months on the field)
Yes, this is possible. I recently posted on Facebook that I have over 700 friends on my friends list…if 200 of them would donate $75, I would be completely funded! That seems totally do-able!
Please pray about giving. Ask God if this is what He would like you to do. Ask Him if it is possible in your financial situation. And please pray for my continued efforts to raise funding. It's not easy and it's not one of my strengths.
