I have put this off for far too long. But the thought of all this becoming real hit me like a mad women with a frying pan. I am already at a loss for words. God has called me to do something more with my life and here is my answer… Here I am Lord, send me.
I have come to a rude awakening in the past few months. There are so many people that believe in Jesus’ calling for my life. I have had numerous friends send me their letters, text me every night, and just push me to do this! I used to blame all of my problems on other people saying, “Well if just one person believed in me I could do it, but they don’t, so I won’t” WHAT A LIE!!!!!!!! Oh my word. When I tell you, out of this adventure I have seen more people lift me up than I have ever expected. The rude slap in the face is that the problem was ME. I gave into the slurs and lies the devil had been telling me. You’re lazy, a procrastinator, weak, stupid, not Christian enough (what does that even mean?!) and the worst one… fat. Thank you friends and family. I love you dearly for being there for me, for believing in me more than I ever could. To keep this short I just want my first blog post to be my letter. Please just read it and understand what boundaries and barricades I emotionally, physically, and spiritually had to be delivered from just to send out my letter.

11 Months. 11 Countries. OUR footprint.
My name is Sara Pfund and my epic journey begins on July 15th, 2015. I am excited to inform you that I will be a missionary next year in 11 different countries. I am answering a major call on my life and I honestly have no idea what I am getting myself into, other than; I am supposed to be doing this. (Goodness, I am getting a travelers backpack. That is truly crazy considering the fact I have never even left the country.) The organization is called Adventures in Missions. It is a Christian based non profit organization that has been a part of many life changing events. The particular program I am doing is called the World Race. During the World Race, I will be serving in any way I can, whether it is constructing buildings, teaching, leading worship, helping sex trafficking victims, witnessing, or simply just LOVING children and people. I know that no matter what I do God will be using me to touch people’s lives, but more importantly they will touch mine. However, I will be as useful as a piano that does not produce sound, without you. Clearly you will not physically be there, but your presence will. I need you to have my back in any way you can; funds, encouragement, and most importantly prayer. If you do not feel led or are unable to fund me, then please, please pray for me. I am a strong believer in the power of prayer.
I desperately need you to lift me up as the Holy Spirit leads me on this journey. Whether or not you like it, you are coming with me. My life is about to endure on a once-in-a-lifetime, life changing journey. We can be a part of change, salvation, a smile; we can be apart of somebody feeling true love for the first time in their lives, wow. In my 21 years of existence, I can feel in my heart that my hope is being fulfilled. I am nervous and quite frankly completely terrified, but I AM READY. Are you?

- Mongolia: April 15 – May 15, 2016
- China: May 15 – June 15, 2016 (On My Way Home)
- How Much?: $16,277 (I am praying that the Lord provides fully before I depart)
