My time at home so far has been busy and full of people who love me so well, but I am definitely missing my Z Fam and feeling the weight of the reentry process. I am so thankful that Jesus is full of patience and grace and is holding my hand through all of it!
They say the eyes of the world are on the Olypmics right now, but we know the truth.
In Swaziland the kids' eyes are fixed on their teacher, soaking up every word she says and coloring beautiful pictures and waiting patiently to be dismissed so that they can receive their lunch of rice and beans from the Gogos at their care point.

In the Philippines, Kuya Al's eyes are on a project to improve the church and better serve the Aninuan community while Ate Marina prays as she whips up a fabulous meal in the kitchen.

In Honduras, my friend Maria's eyes are looking for treasures amongst the trash at her home in the dump.

In China my house six kiddos' eyes are on the teachers who are stretching their minds at school and continuing to help them grow stronger every day.

In Serbia and Bulgaria and Romania there are gypsies whose eyes are soaking up the word of God and showing love to their neighbors for the first time.

In Panama hundreds of kids are in school, remembering those crazy gringos who acted like fools to show them Christ's incredible love and boys in prison who are reading their own bibles for the first time.

…and Marcus' eyes are on Chrin's beautiful guitar which will keep ringing out praises to our great God for years to come in his able hands!

So not ALL the eyes of the world are on London.
They are on school work and hunger and trash dumps and pastors.
They are on bibles of incredible languages and empty wallets.
They are on sick children and healing children.
They are on red clay and rainforests and mountains and oceans, beauty in the midst of poverty.
And the eyes of God are on all of it. On London and Swaziland and even this airplane that I'm sitting on and my new room in Lake Wales.
He is IN all of it.
It's all His-His creation sings His praises and He beautifully speaks a resounding YES.
YES the world is not as it should be and YES it is messy and broken. YES there is beauty all around if we'll just open our eyes. YES the call is for NOW, for THIS GENERATION to rise up and be the change the world is waiting on; be the healing and the hope And the light and the joy of Jesus, be His hands and feet and heartbeat.
I don't know much about the future holds but i do know this: I serve El Roi the God who sees.
