…is that our God is SO much greater than anything we can dream up, worry about, or fathom.

In a verse, this is what I expect.

Look at the nations and watch–and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.  Habbakuk 1:5

I have learned that what I expect to happen usually doesn't, and God will do what MOST glorifies Him in spite of us. The fact that He allows us to play a role in His story of redemption is just mind-boggling! So, as most of us will say, I'm sure we are striving to throw our expectations to the wind and let the Holy Spirit do His thing in our lives. But, since it's required, here are some things I expect.

I expect to love the community and the family that my squad will become. I expect to get irritated at times with 24/7 contact, but I expect LOVE to win that battle.

I expect to grow in mighty, mighty ways. I expect the box I try to squeeze God into to be shattered; I expect Him to blow our minds with new revelations of His heart and His POWER. I expect to probably feel distant at times and so deep at other times that I feel His heart beating in mine.

I expect to see and experience things I never dreamed possible.

I expect to learn how to die to myself and my desires daily to see the Kingdom brought forth. I expect to be challenged to TRUST that God's ways are higher then mine even when I don't see or feel it.

I expect heartache, joy, sorrow, jubilation, and a renewing of my mind and spirit.

I expect God to show up. BIG TIME.
Because He IS who He says He is.
Because He CAN and WILL do what He says He can do.
Because HE is the ultimate, the only, the all-powerful all-loving all-righteous One.

The one who calls you is faithful and He will do it. 1 Thess. 5:24

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."  Matt 19:26
