I wanted to write this to update you on my progress, important dates, and what not.
Training Camp
Training camp will be May 21st- May 31st in Gainesville, Georgia.
The purpose of training camp is to be trained and prepared for the race. This will also be the first time I meet my whole squad in person. During our time there we will pray together, be pushed, get to know each other, learn about the cultures of the countries we will go to, grow deeper with God, and get to experience the accommodations we will encounter in the next year (our tents).
To make it even more interesting four of us will be driving from Detroit to Gainesville. 4 adults, 4 packs, 4 day packs, in a Ford Fiesta. Surprisingly the four of us couldn’t be more excited for it.
Launch
The excitement doesn’t stop there, our launch date got moved up. Launch date moving up means our fundraising goal is moved up. It’s a little bit intimidating, but I couldn’t be more excited about leaving sooner.
The official Launch dates are June 27th/28th.
We will all meet up in Atlanta for a couple days and depart from there.
Fundraising
I have been beyond blessed with fundraising.
I had my first fundraiser in November, and it went way better than planned. Using being Italian to my advantage, I planned a spaghetti lunch. My mother and I made all the sauce, yes you heard that right, we made it all. I can’t even tell you how much sauce we made, but it was a lot. Not knowing how many people would show up to the event we prepared 20 lbs of noodles thinking it was over kill. We were way wrong. After the last person to show up arrived we ran out of noddles. Friends and family donated supplies, food, and time helping me. A military academy that is dear to my heart sent more than a dozen cadets, and one Cadre to help set up, serve, and tear down. The support, and prayers I received that day were so overwhelming.
Ever since that God has been blessing me in the most amazing ways.
There will be three more fundraisers in the near future. Once I have more details about them I promise I will let everyone know!
The total amount of funds to come in is almost 5,000 dollars. In order to launch I will need 7,500 before June 27th. If you feel lead to give you can do so by hitting that support me button on this page. All donations are appreciated more than you know.
On top of funds for the trip we also have to get our own gear. This gear includes things like a tent, sleeping pad, pack, day pack, sleeping bag, etc. I have been blessed with almost all my gear. God is SO good.

I am asking all who read this to please keep me and my squad in your prayers. It is needed and appreciated.

I am so excited for this season of my life, and for what God has planned.
