Hello family and friends!

Greetings from South Africa… where our squad has gathered for our final debrief!

These past 11 months have flown by so fast and I cannot believe I have reached the end of my World Race journey. It has been quite an experience that I don’t think I could ever fully capture or explain in words. But I do hope to provide everyone with newsletter updates on the last 6 months of my Race once I return home so please continue to be patient with me on that!

In the meantime though, I just wanted to send a quick thank you message to you all for your amazing support and prayers during this journey. To be honest, “thank you” doesn’t come remotely close to the amount of deep gratitude and appreciation that I have for every one of you, but please know my heart will be forever thankful for how you have walked alongside me both before and during this journey. THANK YOU 🙂

And a short update on my post-Race plans. After our final debrief, I will be spending some time traveling thru Europe and then spending a few weeks in San Diego with my brother and sister-in-law… and my new niece! I’m excited for this opportunity to do some more traveling while I still can, but also look forward to this time where I can process everything that I experienced on the Race. Please pray that it will be fruitful time of rest and reflection, and also for protection during my travels!

I will be home back to Virginia by mid-January so I hope and look forward to catching up with everyone then!
