Hi all!
Hope this newsletter finds you well. I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on my fundraising status.
Firstly, thank you to everyone who donated since my last newsletter! I am now at $14,701 of my $16,362 total goal (90%)! I am continually amazed at how God is leading people to give (and even give again) to His kingdom work thru me!
Unfortunately, that means I came up short on reaching my final fundraising deadline. But as you know, our God believes in grace…and so does The World Race 🙂 So as you can guess from the heading of this newsletter, I have been provided with an extension on my fundraising deadline until the end of this month. That means I will need to raise $1,661 by my absolute final deadline of Tuesday, May 31.
And to be quite honest, this whole fundraising process hasn’t been easy or enjoyable — if anything, it’s been the opposite. I’ve struggled with constantly asking you all for money and dipping into a community that has already supported me so much over the years, far beyond what any dollar amount can ever signify. But if there’s anything that my World Race experience has taught me so far, it’s the true value of community — and also its impact. And not just thru the community of my squadmates that I’m running this Race with, but also thru the community of fellow brothers and sisters in Christ that we’ve met in each country along the way. To see them give and give so much of their time, their homes and even money to complete strangers for what we are doing for His Glory, it has been an absolute joy to say the least.
So as I ask for your financial partnership on this World Race journey for the last time, that is my hope — for you to be blessed by our Father and receive His joy thru giving. And just as the Lord has invited me into the lives of so many of His people, I invite you to do the same and sow into our fellow community of believers around the world.
Again, I thank you all so much for the countless ways in which you’ve supported me — past, present and future. And just as the Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Corinth, “I always thank my God for you because of His grace given you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Corinthians 1:4). Thank you for investing in me personally and for furthering my quest to serve God and His people thru missions work. Thank you.
By His Love,
Sang Park
