Something that's very important and I can't forget to share with you all is my amazing new team.

Meet Team Girasoles
(insert picture that I can't load to the blog, but can be found in the pictures section of the site)

Peru ended with a bang and although I was well aware that team changes were happening I just couldn't imagine who I would be placed with. I also really hoped I would have someone from Team Salmo 45:11 with me to help me with embark this new journey of getting to live with a whole other set of girls.

To my surprise I was alone. By alone I mean no Team Salmo 45:11 girls but me. It was heart braking to be honest, but I knew God was doing something special with this new team.

I knew God was up to something as I heard each name… Everyone of them had something I needed to grow in my life. I admired something specific about each girl… and because it was going to stretch me I was scared.

After teams were announced we were given 30 minutes to pray and seek God about our new teams. Honestly I cried and was mad with God the first 15 minutes. It was a lot of me talking and screaming in my head and very little listening. Thank God He didn't give up and waited for my tantrum to end. The second half of our conversation was a lot of Him talking and me listening. He spoke to me about each girl on the team, one by one He was clear about what I lacked in my life and they lived in abundance.

Lydia: My new team leader is abundant in joy. Even when she's not ok she's got a smile on her face. She laughs uncontrollably and has a joy that I don't understand, which of course can only mean it's the joy of the Lord.
Benita: Our finance person, she is abundant in self discipline. She is someone I know will always be ready for anything and everything. She walks around with a Mary Poppins bag with just about anything you need. That just speaks to me about her heart, always ready to face anything in life but never to busy to have fun. She's got a good balance in her life that I lack.
Sabrina: Our blondie is abundant in truth. Sabrina is one of the most truth filled people I know. She will boldly speak truth into your life and will make sure you know what God really thinks of you. I know I can always find love filled words of encouragement from her.
Olivia: Our fire cracker abundant in fun and boldness. Former music theater person she is soooo much fun and isn't afraid of anything. She is straight forward and authoritative the things of God. She is hilarious and only she can sing happy birthday in 25 different rhythms all with choreographed performances.
Cassandra: My BUFF abundant in love. Cass is my best friend in the whole wide word and somehow we just work. She is my opposite because she is all warm hearted and I'm total cool headed. She loves like no one else I've known. She has the ability to love regardless of being hurt, once she loves you she won't ever stop.
Christina: Our quite girl abundant in thoughtfulness. Christina would write every racer on Y squad (47 to be exact) a personalized beautifully decorated card full of encouraging words. She is thoughtful and makes sure she pays attention to the little things, which just happens to be my love language, it's the little things that count.

So to say the least these girls are amazing! I love each and every one of them for simply being themselves. I know at the beginning I was scared and being scared cause me to freak out those first 15 minutes with God. But God is so kind and loving to place these amazing women so abundant in Him to help mold me and create in me a better character.

People are placed in your life for a reason. God is a genius when it comes to always having your best interest even when you don't see it. I made the mistake of not wanting to accept change, thank goodness it was only for 15 minutes. But I wonder how many people out there don't accept what God is doing with the people in their lives and freak out for 15 years not 15 minutes. Take a minute and thank God for all those around you. What are they abundant in? What can you learn from them?
