there is so much to write.  so much to tell you.  i wish i could tell you it all, but the blog would be far too long.  I will just have to pick and choose.

so, as mentioned last post my wonderful team is working with a ministry inside the city’s dump.  there are about 5,000 people who live in this community, without running water, no electricty, amongst piles and piles of rubbish, no bathrooms, not even squatty potties in there homes, families with as many as 16 children.

we’re working with this incredible ministry called the Philippine Christian Fund (PCF).  and they are amazing.  they really love these people and everytime i begin to question the Lord’s provision, and ask Him where the hope is in such a situation, He shows me what He has already done and is still doing through this organization.  It is such a blessing to work along side of them.

They have a church–which is filled with the holy spirit and quickly out growing their space–a school and a feeding program.  they also have a child sponsorship program, where for about $30 a month, the child gets an education, two meals a day, health care, which includes their vaccinations and deworming, and as far as i understand the health care is for the entire family.  basically it’s incredible.  there are about 240 kids that still need to be sponsored, so pray about it… but, let me tell you…these kids are definately the Lord’s favorites.

My grandma told me that He has treasure waiting for me in the dump…and it didn’t take long for me to find.  I am among royalty when i am in their church.  I am sitting amongst kings and queens.

alright.

i will write more another day 🙂  i need to sleep.

but really cool story–a while ago i posted a link to a blog about a little boy who a WR team rescued from being sold into trafficking on my facebook, well, that was the first and only other WR team to come and work with PCF.  I am where that whole situation took place.  And apparently, after the World Racer wrote that blog there was a crazy response and her team was able (through people at homes response) to raise enough money to buy little Micheal Angelo’s family a new home!  Tomorrow, we’re going to the grave yard where he used to live.  But our team is on a mission to find Micheal Angelo’s family…and just do a follow up.  I love how the Lord uses His kingdom!

You all rock!

love you
