I can’t tell you how many blogs I’ve read from past racers about their time on the field, but it’s been a lot! Typing this up right now is quite surreal because I’ve been waiting years for the chance to be able to say I’M GOING ON THE WORLD RACE!!!

Yay for Jesus!!

If you know me, I’m not the greatest with words (unless I’m drawing them) and this whole blogging thing is completely new to me so if you could extend a bit of grace as I get into this that would be great!

They told us to write about ourselves so the person reading this (Hey, that’s you!) could get to know us a little bit better so here goes!

My name is Samantha, but all of my friends call me Sam so you can call me that and we shall officially be friends! I was born in California, but grew up here in South Texas AKA basically Mexico. I live with both of my parents and one of my two brothers. I was going to school to pursue a degree in Education at The University of Texas – Pan American, but clearly that’ll be put on pause as I serve and tell people about the awesome love of Jesus around the world. I serve at my awesome church on our Check-In/Event Registration Team where I get to interact with a lot of our volunteers and members of our church interested in growing and learning more about God! I also just recently got assigned to be a leader (I’m still kind of in training) in our young adults Bible Study so that’s been fun! It’s going to allow me to actually pour into other people my age and share what I’ve learned about God while also growing myself.

Okay, I think that’s enough about me for now. You’ll definitely learn about me a lot more in the next year and a half.

I’m super excited to see all that God has in store for this next season of life and I hope you join me in this journey! And you should totally subscribe to get an email when I post something new! If you’re on your computer, it’s right there on the left side or if you’re on your phone, click that little button in the top left hand corner with the three lines and click on “Follow Me” or the “Subscribe for Updates” one.
