It’s official. I have finally made a decision about my future, post graduate school.
After exploring missionary jobs for over a year, I have made a decision.
I am going on the World Race!!!
I will be leaving in September of 2013 to embark on an 11 month mission trip, across 11 countries.
I will be spending a month in each of the following countries:
Kenya
Rwanda
Uganda
India
Nepal
Cambodia
Thailand
The Philippines
Puerto Rico
Dominican Republic
Haiti
Each country will bring a different ministry and a wealth of different challenges; spiritually, physically, and emotionally. I will spend 11 months living out of a backpack and living in complete surrender to my one and only Savior, Jesus Christ. I am beyond pumped to travel the world and share the love of Christ. I can’t think of a better way to spend 11 months, then traveling the world and sharing how a perfect man died on a cross so that I could live a sinful life. I know that this journey will test me more than anything I have ever experienced. I will be eating new foods, living in challenging physical conditions, making new friends, and constantly running into Satan, but I am ready! I can’t wait to experience all that the world has to offer. I am excited to live in community with my team and squad. I am soooo ready for the World Race!!
Over the next few weeks and months, I will be posting on this blog about the preparation and journey to the World Race. The blog will also be updated during my trip with stories from the field. I will share my thoughts, fears, excitement, and fundraising needs. I will be selling t-shirts, bracelets, having a yard sale, and many other fundraising efforts in the near future! Please check back regularly so that you can follow and support me on the adventure of a lifetime. Most importantly, please PRAY! Pray for God’s guidance as I prepare for departure. Pray for my support and fundraising efforts. Pray that His hand would be on me and my World Race team as we all prepare our hearts, minds, and bodies for this journey.
