Thailand went by so fast…too fast!

 I look back on my two months in Thailand and remember only the smiles of my Thai family, and their laughter.  I was so beyond blessed to call them family.  Looking back to some highlights;

  • Swimming in a pool in the middle of nowhere, and having to rent this very strange one piece with a skirt and a hair cap.
  • Getting lice, and sitting on a chair while Tik (my Thai sister) picks 50 live lice out of my head while I laughed and got grossed out.
  • Falling into a waterfall fully clothed was also fun….I just wanted to get closer!
  • Eating dragon fruit on the beach enjoying the view only to be interrupted by Thai people asking me to take pictures with them just because I’m white…even boarder police asking us to get out to pose for pictures with them.
  • And finally, playing tag with Sara.

 As I say goodbye to my Thai mother she tells me she loves me with tears in her eyes, and with tears in mine I thank her for being one of my mom’s.  I hate change and goodbyes are too hard.  When I began this journey I decided to be all in!  I did not want to miss anything!  I learned when you are all in, you give all you have…which made the goodbye hard, but the relationship was so worth it!

 I learned so much from stepping out of my comfort zone and made lifetime friendships. I have learned that all we are to do here is fearlessly, fully and heartily love the people we are around.  Now off to Cambodia!
