Hi everyone! Sorry for the late post. My weeks have been pretty hectic with work, being that I work at a camp its sometimes very physically demanding and my hours are unusual. My younger sisters upcoming wedding is less than a week away and I couldn’t be any more emotional about that. Like. She can’t get married, I’m not ready :(. ALSO we just got a kitten so now there is practically a child I have to take care of. His name is Merlin. He likes to climb brick walls. I don’t understand.
Needless to say with all this going on I’m glad to finally have some time to sit down and write to yall today.

In this post I would like to jump right in it and take the time to acknowledge the fact that I cannot do this on my own. And I’m not just talking about the funding for the World Race, I’m talking about life in general. Life is hard. Life is stressful. We have plans and things that take up time that God has willingly given us and we sometimes end up burning ourselves out. Stuff goes on, situations happen, things that can so easily distract us from our purpose in Christ. My only prayer and hope is that we don’t allow ourselves to get distracted from what truly matters. This has been something that has been on my heart these past few weeks as I’ve been pushing my World Race to-do list to the back of my brain. God has called me. That does not mean I can sit on my butt and do nothing.

James 2:18
“But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”

Please pray for me, for a sober mind with clarity and wisdom when it comes to priorities. And Christ be that priority.

Coming back to the World Race, I know plenty of yall are curious about where I will be going. I will be launching out in January of 2018, with fellow route 1 World Racers. Together, over the span of 11 months we will go serve in Haiti, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, China, Mongolia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Uganda. It is possible that the route could change, but either way, as long as the Gospel is being proclaimed and the love of God is being shared, it doesnt matter where I am.
As far as what I will be doing to help out these countries, I believe it varies by day or week. Primarily we will be spreading the hope and love of Christ to those who do not know Him. Whether that be by holding a VBS for children or helping repair houses that have been destroyed, the main goal is to spread the Truth to anyone who will listen, however they may listen.

Romans 1:16
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”

So how can you be apart of all this Jesus lovin goodness? Oh Im so glad you asked!

My first deadline is September 28th, 2017 and I need to have raised at least $5,000 by then. I have raised $0 as of right now, but I cannot do this without your help. If you feel God calling on your heart please do not hesitate to donate. Every penny counts, and it’s all for His glory. Every dollar that gets donated goes directly to Adventures in Missions for this purpose. My ultimate goal to be fully funded is $18,100. I know that’s a lot but when God calls, He provides. And like I mentioned up at the top of this post, although He does, that does not mean we get to sit around and wait for that to happen.

Colossians 3:2
“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”

Eventually I will be sending out a support letter in the mail with information on the World Race, a prayer card, and how you can help me out in this journey. If you would like to recieve one, please send me your home address either via Facebook or to my email [email protected] and I will get that out to you as soon as possible.
Thank you to those who have been keeping me in their prayers, those who I do and do not know. Thank you so much if you donate, it truly does not go unnoticed, because it is all for the glory of His Kingdom.
I hope that yall have an amazing rest of the week, and don’t let the struggles of life get you down. Keep your head up and keep running the good race. I’ll try my hardest to make time to blog more often, but until then, I’ll try not to cry too much at my sisters wedding. :p

With love,

Sam Vannoy
