“Look at the nations and watch– and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.” Habakkuk 1:5

I am happy to be able to announce that as of August 2016 I will be packing up and heading out of good ol’ Kentwood, Michigan to start a new chapter of my life on The World Race: Gap Year. This trip will take me to three different countries on three different continents over the course of 9 months.

While I am on the Race I’m not to sure of what I am going to be doing. Anything from volunteering to preaching to jumping off waterfalls. This is an incredible leap of faith for myself and my loved ones. While I am excited for the possibility of new adventures and new stories and new friends I am not doing this for me. I am doing this because I want to spread the hope that the Gospel has given me. I am doing this to love those who need it the most. I am doing this because I was called to.

Here is where I will be traveling:

Albania

Philippines

South Africa

and here’s a few things about me:

  • I am currently a senior at East Kentwood High School and will be graduating in 2016
  • I have lived in Michigan my entire life
  • I spend entirely too much money at Qdoba
  • I sing in the shower- loudly
  • I published a (bad) novel when I was 14 and absolutely love to write
  • I am the worst dancer I know
  • I have wanted to do mission work since I was in elementary school
  • I run track and cross country
  • I have two of the most wonderful parents and am the youngest of three
  • I am outspoken and passionate
  • and have I said that I’m excited for The World Race?

Of course there is no way I can do this by myself, any support you can offer would mean the world to me. You can subscribe to this blog to be notified about updates and new posts. Also, in the upcoming months and throughout the Race your encouragement and prayers will be extremely important. If you are thinking about supporting me financially you can click the “Support Me” tab or contact me personally; anything or any amount will help.

I am looking forward to what the future holds.

Feel free to contact me if have any questions or want to know more, I would love to talk to you.
