“So how much will it all cost?”
“$15,000.”
Sometimes the responses I get are along the lines of:
“…what?”
“Are you serious?”
“Fifteen thousand dollars?”
and of course the ever popular
“What happens to the money I donate if you don’t end up reaching your goal?”
Look, I admit these are all pretty disheartening responses. But the fact is, I said every last one of these things at the beginning of this fundraising journey. These are my worries too.
$15,000 is a lot of money, and I understand how hopeless it seems. But that’s where faith comes in.
I have FAITH that my God will provide for me.
Because He’s much bigger than $15,000.
He’s much bigger than the massive backpack I’ll be carrying all my possessions around in.
He’s much bigger than the fear I have of failing.
He’s much bigger than all the 11 countries I’ll be serving in.
He’s much bigger than the tears I will cry when I leave my family.
And He’s much bigger than the joy I will feel when I am in the presence of His unfailing love.
My dear friends, family, and everyone in-between. I am humbly asking for you to have faith in me. Have faith that God will provide for this trip. Have faith that your valuable time and resources are going towards something great that I fully intend to finish. With your help, I AM going to raise $15,000, and I AM going on this trip.
I have faith, and pray that you do too.
