Let me tell you a story….

A couple days back I had a crazy day: 8AM Final, 2 unsuccessful trips to a local bookstore, got lost (due to a detour and my own stupidity), left my car in the 30 minute parking for a solid 2.5 hours, moved out, and tried to say “good bye” to a place and people I never imagined would mean so much. College life has ended and there’s another beginning right around the bend.

Bright and early tomorrow morning I’ll be Georgia bound for the next phase of our journey–TRAINING CAMP! It’s an exciting thing, don’t know what all to expect and certainly I will be sharing the process with you when I return home (or get a bit of wifi).

The more I think about it, the more I come to realize that while life is chalk full of beginnings and endings it’s also full of a lot of in betweens. They don’t seem to get much attention. What about life’s waiting rooms, the extended weekends, and the margins? Being the reflective guy that I am, here’s what have to say about the in betweens.

1. In betweens help give us some balance. Could you imagine trying to read a book without margins? Being busy isn’t always the best. Enjoy the space! Don’t be afraid to let it exist.

2. In betweens give us the opportunity to appreciate the moment(and those that have just happened). Our lives are made up of the big moments just as they are the little moments (which includes the in betweens).

3.This In between might just be the next big thing. The urge can be to consume our thoughts with expectations and yearning for what lies ahead–but God intends for us to be precisely where we are, and that is exactly where He can use us.

Wherever you find yourself, I hope you enjoy the beginnings, endings and in betweens that come your way. When training camp arrives I’ll tell you all about it. Until then, I think I’m going to soak up this in between. Be Blessed!
