Who am I? Well, I’m Saige Campbell. 20—something. I am daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. My family is some of the most precious people in my world. I am lucky to have a God-loving family who is standing by my side supporting me as I take these next steps into my own personal Kingdom Journey. I live and love in a not-so-exciting part of west Texas, but even though it lacks a lot, I adore it. My dad got the bright idea to name me after Sylvester Stallone’s son, Sage. My parents added the “I” to make it more feminine. I was a homeschooler. I’m a girl full of emotions, but not one who talks about them easily. I’m a people person and a hermit; I might just be a walking oxymoron. I work with a bunch of crazy Optometrists, and while it’s not necessarily the most exciting job in the world, I am so thankful for it. My favorite parts of the day are the special moments when I can ignite a little spark of life and laughter into one of our patients who looks like they have the weight of the world sitting on their shoulders. I love people, and hate to see them stuck in their muck.
These are just tidbits of who I am, minor details really. But the most important detail of all: I am a daughter of the King. I live for, love, and serve a God who has transformed my world. I make mistakes frequently, but God’s grace, love, and faithfulness are ever present in my life. He is good, and I am so lucky to be His.
I look forward to continuing on this journey, and I hope you’ll join me along the way. I can’t say it won’t be full of trials, tears, pain, and heartbreak, but I can guarantee you that in the midst there will be victory, joy, healing, and love.
