Hi Friends!

I'm Sage, and I'm comin atcha from mid-Michigan in a little town called Alma, also known as Scotland USA~home (for one long weekend) of the bagpipes and skirted men.  In addition to that titillating tid bit, I'm going to spit some facts about myself to you. Starting with the family unit.

These are my siblings:

<–Brianna  <–Rees

These are my parents:

<–Dawn <–Steve

Here are my facts:

  • The three things that I love the most are 1. everyone 2.dancing 3. missions
  • I love watching movies and netflixing shows with my friends
  • I'm constanly jonsen to RT (real talk) with anyone, anywhere, anytime.
  • Steve and I have the same birthday (June 27, in case you want to get us a present)
  • My favorite color to wear is red
  • I was studying social work at Anderson University for 3 years before I finally decided that the restlessness that consumed me was God's calling me to explore opportunities such as this
  • I'm really good at laughing too loudly

For years my unrealistic dream has been to travel the world and love people, but I didn't think that would ever actually be an opportunity. When a friend of mine told me about her experience on the Race I was amazed that I had never heard of it before. The World Race is everything that I have ever wanted to do. That's totally dramatic, but seriously. I am amazed that God would choose me to do something like this, but I couldn't be more thrilled.  Or scared. But I can't live comfortably anymore, I've done that for almsot 21 years now. I want to live adventerously and dangerously and in a way that I have been called, and that will allow me to love selflessly. My favorite and least favorite prayer is that my heart will be broken for what breaks God's. I love it until I actuallly start to experience the pain that comes from whitnessing the brokenness and hurt that surrounds me. Doing the Race will put me in the center of that pain and will allow me to experience God's love and healing along with the people that I will meet. I am so excited and ready to experience that!
