Good afternoon Team Awesome!

*Team Awesome = Those of you who have been following this blog, keeping updated on the status of my fundraising efforts, who keep encouraging me, who have partnered with me financially, etc.* The truth is, we Are a team. We’re operating together to shine His love all over the world and by doing so, we’re making a positive difference. Yay! πŸ™‚

This is just a quick update for you all as far as fundraising and training camp are concerned.

1) I am still waiting for the check from the hoagie sale that was held at my home church to be processed and added to my AIM (Adventure in Missions) account. So, that total has not yet been added to the progress of my support bar on the home page of this blog. Once it is though, we will have surpassed the amount that is required for my first deadline, which is $3,000 by September 28th!

2) When I logged into my account this afternoon to see if the check had been processed, I noticed that two more people have joined us in our fundraising efforts!!   O/*O/   *High-five!*

As a result, I am currently 14% funded ….Hooo-rayyy!!!!!!

****UPDATE: The night after I posted this blog, the check from the hoagie sale was fully processed! My fundraising status is now at 24%! πŸ˜€ Which means we have officially surpassed the Sept. 28th deadline 4 days early!

3) Training camp for the Race is coming so quickly and I’m getting incredibly excited and nervous. I cannot believe how quickly time is going and to be honest, I’m a little sad πŸ™ The ministry that I’m surrounded by has been evolving so beautifully and my relationships with different people here at home have been growing tremendously so I’m not looking forward to leaving it all. I keep being encouraged though by the Y squad and all of the chatter going on on our Facebook page. ***The Y Squad is the name the group who I will be doing life with during my trip.*** Although we’re in the early stages, we’ve already begun to grow as a family in the ways that we encourage each other, help each other, and laugh with each other.

3b.) For training camp I am going to need a lot of the supplies that I will be taking with me on The World Race. So far I have in my possession a tent, a sleeping bag, and a lot of the clothing that I will need…ohh and my Chaco’s πŸ™‚ Plus I have items that will go in my first aid kit once I figure out how I am going to put that together. And, of course, I have the laptop that will be going with me for the trip so that I can somewhat keep in touch with everyone at home! There are other necessities that I do not tangibly have yet but they will be coming…I know it! The Google Doc. that is doubling as a packing list as well an items needed list can be found here…. >https://docs.google.com/document/d/12b98O7OaXLrY3b7MvQdc5BSOTAifQxKSjlknQipZn6Q/edit?usp=sharing

Some of you have already partnered with me in the way of pledging to get some of those supplies, and I am so humbled by that.Thank you!

Fourth and final….My heart has been heavy with the desire to pray for many different people and things and so I have been. I’ll pray all throughout the day as well as have some quiet time at home and God will provide me with faces, names, and situations to pray for. He even had me pray for a close friend of mine who just so happened to be going through something and I had no idea! But God randomly (or at least I thought so) had me pray and He even gave me some specifics and by faith I prayed! Later I learned how perfect the timing was and how spot on the specifics were. Isn’t that cool?! πŸ˜€ And that’s not the first time I’ve witnessed or heard of God doing that, putting specific people on the hearts of others because He wants those others to start praying for that person or those people.

So lovely’s, please let me know if you have any prayer requests, I would love to serve you by praying with you and for you and yes, I can and will commit to praying over an extended period of time if necessary. Why? Because I love you!

Well, that’s a wrap for now! I love you guys and gals, you are wonderful.
