Fear not, for I am with you;

Be not dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you,

Yes, I will help you,

I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

–GOD (Isaiah 41:10 NKJV)

    How incredible is it that God reminds us that He is with us? Like He knew that we would have moments when we would forget that. Something so seemingly obvious and simple, yet he covered us by putting it on paper for us to read and be reminded of whenever we want or need.

     I sometimes forget that fact, that God is with me (and promises to never leave! Deuteronomy 31:6, Hebrews 13:5), and I’ll start to think that He is distant or that I have to figure things out on my own. However, when I read over my journals or other things that I’ve written, I can see Him in them and it’s the best realization ever…that    He     really     is      with      me     and has been all along; I can see that so clearly when I go back to edit or reread. It’s awesome.

    Equally as incredible is that looking back on those writings has helped me see that my heart is for Him for Him. I just have to get up, let God dust me off and keep on movin’. He has been refining me since the moment I accepted Him as my savior and it’s beautiful and encouraging (and sometimes painful) to see the process unfold in the pages of my journals. (Woah, there is beauty in imperfection? Whaaaat?)

     Do you have anything in your life that helps you see God’s gentle hands at work? Maybe you’re a dancer and you’ve choreographed a few dances and when you get to watch them performed, either by yourself on video or by others, you’re incredibly blessed because you know that God has helped order your steps? Or maybe you paint and after getting really into your work you step back and you think, “Wow, God, did I do that?” Orr, maybe something totally unrelated to the arts? Please feel free to leave a response and comment below!

When we do things with Him as our motivator, it’s so awesome to step back and see just how involved He was…and it’s a glorious feeling knowing that He’s so close…we’re a team! YES!
