I am beyond excited to share this video with you guys as it will mean so much to me over the years. It will be so nice to look back and see this as the first video I ever produced for a specific purpose or ministry.
I had a vision to do one recap video each month of our trip and then was going to pray about opportunities to pop up during the year where I could possibly bless a ministry with a video. We’ll what do you know, one of the very first nights here in Port Elizabeth a vision popped in my head. One of the child care workers here at the Khayalethu Youth Center was playing some songs for us on the guitar and told us he wanted to share a few songs that were written specifically for Khayalethu. As he was singing, I was brought to tears and overcome by the Holy Spirit at how beautiful the songs were. I knew then I was supposed to do something with these songs just didn’t quite know yet what.
After a few days of prayer, I started to remember pulling up their ministry website before we came and noticed the only video they had on their was very old. It was then that this dream/vision I had began to take shape. All I knew I wanted to do was to record him singing the songs and get video of each of the kids faces and somehow make it into something that would be mediocre at best.
Even though I knew what I wanted to do, getting it together how I wanted to seemed impossible. As I mentioned previously, I have never owned a camera, shot video with this one, or even edited one in pmy life before the race. So here I am with this big dream and vision about making a video to bless this ministry with and lacking the skills to do it. Well so I thought. God is making me realize more and more each day that there isnt a dream or a desire in our hearts that He can fulfill.
I know the finished product here is far from professional and there are many edits I wish I could make. But to see the joy on their faces when they watch and to know they are going to to have it go on their website and represent their ministry, makes everything worth it. Hope you enjoy!!
