This little guy had the coolest little laugh/giggle ever…
This past Tuesday, (my last day in Swaziland) I had the opportunity to go to a ‘care point.’ A care point (at least what this place was) is essentially a day care/after school type of place. I think it’s ran by a pastor, but ran during the day by ‘go-gos’, or grandmas or ladies. and kids just come for the day, or after school. They got fed some rice and beans, and they hear some bible stories and that sort of stuff.
So, I got to go out there with a handful of new ‘June racers’ that just arrived, and two girls from B squad. We played with the kids a bunch, helped out with a little class thing where they learned some colors and shapes, I shared a little thing about Jonah…I also noticed there was a good amount of broken glass on the ground, and that some of the kids didn’t have shoes on. So I started to pick up the glass and it turned into about a dozen kids helping me, and we filled three bowls full of broken glass from the ground.

…they had plates, but no utensils, so you use your hands.
It was a good afternoon. I really enjoyed playin with some of them, and felt good about picking up all that freakin glass! It was a lot of glass, man.
One last thing…I was happy too, because it was a good photo day!
We’re over in Rustenburg, South Africa now with an american missionary. There’s a children’s shelter here on base and we’re gonna just help out with them and play with them off and on. We’re gonna be doin other stuff, but i’ll let you know when the time comes!
PEACE
