The first two nights here in Lima we stayed at this church: Iglesia Communidad Shalom. It’s a great and alive church in the Villa El Salvador area of Lima. The church has committed to preparing meals for us 3 times a day and 7 days a week. UNBELIEVABLE!

When we got back there at 10:30pm after the long day of the race…their service was wrapping up. But then they ended up having a huge dance party! Just dancing to praise songs…and just going crazy. It was a lot of fun! Two nights later, we ran most of the service, and they ended up having another dance party thing after that.

Joy singing during worship songs. She was glowing up there man! She was in her element. It was cool to watch.

A packed house.

Meagan singin out in spanish, with Joy, Bri and Youell.

Jon preached on guilt and sorrow and did a really good job.

The night of St. Patrick’s day, we went to their service that night. It ended up being a healing service. It ended up being really strange, because the guy that was preaching started doing the thing where he prays over you or something and then you fall backwards to the ground. While it was happening…I must say I was pretty weirded out…but I was open to it still though. It was just something I hadn’t experienced before. I later found out that the whole point of the ‘falling backwards’ or whatever, has something to do with just COMPLETELY relinquishing everything to God at the moment and letting yourself fall…………..I’m not real sure…………….all I know is that when the preacher guy was right back by me and almost put his hand on my head to blow me over or whatever…I felt somekind of presence right then. my heart started beating really fast when he was near me. I don’t know:) But here’s two of the pictures I took of it:

STAY TUNED…
cuz I have more stuff to put up. And don’t forget to check out my PICTURES YO! section…because there’s a lot more pictures in there that I haven’t put in these blogs.
