We were unexpectedly woken up at 5:00am Sunday morning to Samuel yelling ‘AMIGOS!’ and someone else wailing on the car horn. We received the envelope to tell us what we had to do for this leg of the race:
- 4 people from your team must get in the river and be submerged to the shoulders.
- interview someone affiliated with your transportation (our driver) and blog about it.
- meet at the higher grounds coffee shop in Antigua, Guatemala.
That’s what we knew.

I wasn’t super happy during this. It actually wasn’t that bad, but I get kinda sick of the suprise early morning wake-ups that seem to happen from time to time with AIM. (remember the refuge day in september during training?)
We ended up sharing a van the whole way with Team Zeo. We had to switch vans at the border too.

This picture and the next ones are en route to Guatemala.

I like this one. We were way up in altitude here.

We made it to the coffee shop. And actually, the van that we ended up getting once we got in Guatemala, we found out that it was the same driver that drove the media team to Antigua the day before. So he pretty much took us exactly where we needed to go…which was AWESOME and a huge time saver. We were the second team from squad A to make it to Antigua, which we were really pumped about because we left Samuel’s dead last.

We found out upon arriving in Antigua that we had another short leg to the race. We had to go up to the Cerra de la Cruz and pray over the city of Antigua for 1 hour. Then race back down to the Parque Central. We got last for this day and therefore got last for the entire Mex/Guat leg. Kind of a raw deal, but it’s all good.

STAY TUNED….for pictures of Antigua, a volcano that i’m planning to go to tomorrow and more about what God is doing with me

and once again, there are more pictures that I’ve uploaded that I did not include in this blog. and that’s gonna be the case all the time. I take and photoshop way too many pictures to include them all in my blog.
PEACE! Dios to bendiga
