Well….that hotel that I was working at…it completely burned to the ground in about 5 hours in the early morning of August 3rd.
I was woken up at 2:59am and went into the hallway, and saw a lot of smoke at the other end of the hallway. Went back into my room and got some of the important things (camera, laptop with all my pictures on it, bible, journals) and a couple other things. But I did lose a lot of clothes, my duffle bag, hiking boots, some books and some other things. It sucks though man. Not only are a lot of us out of jobs, but a bunch of reservations need to be contacted and it pretty much is going to have a very large negative effect on this tiny town and it’s economy. So be praying for that if you would.
Also, I had changed my flight to leave here this evening, but then literally 10 minutes before my flight left I changed my mind and decided to stay until my original departure date of sep 3, and try to find a job on a fishing boat. And I’m not sure if I made the right decision or not. but we’ll see.
