A journey of being reminded who brings me peace….Part 3 of Stories from Nepal
It was near the end of the month and I was tired. I felt sad, and just felt distant from God. My heart felt weary from being around so many Hindu and Buddhist people who just straight up outwardly don’t believe and know God. Again, I felt the anxiety of just not knowing how to break through the spiritual warfare of showing the love of Christ to them….
I honestly was in a moment where I started to doubt that God hears me and speaks to me….
Then breakthrough came in a way that only God can bring break through….
I was at an amazing family’s house with a bunch of other Christians from all around the world. We were having a worship night and I knelt down and prayed to God in the midst of it. I started to pray,
“God I need you to show me,” but right as I was about to say the word “show”, suddenly I stopped and started praying, “God, I need you to REMIND me that you are real. Father I need you to remind me that you are alive and that you can hear me. Father I need you to remind me that you are with me….”
Just as I finished praying that prayer something happened that I honestly didn’t expect.
A song came on during the worship that is called “Running in Circles” by United Pursuit….
It is a song that I had been listening to the whole month that I connected to so much. It’s an older song that is not very well known and I couldn’t believe my ears when the song started playing at the worship event…
The songs sings over and over, “I’m so forgetful, but you always REMIND me that you’re the only one that brings me peace. I’m so forgetful, but you always REMIND me that you’re the only one that brings me peace…
I can’t really explain how I felt the living presence of God in that moment, but I know with all of my heart and life that God was speaking directly to me in that moment. In a way that only He could..
I have no idea why I changed my wording from “show” to “remind” me, but I know God had that song planned just for me, to REMIND me that He is real, that he is alive, and that he does hear me when I call out to him! I know God had that song played to REMIND me that I wasn’t alone, that He was with me and in me…
He once again did what I would have never expected him to do, he bring revival and life to me to keep pressing on within the journey that He has called me to!….

Once again as I continue through this journey of life with Christ and become closer to my God and my Savior, I am in more and more awe of how Christ lived a perfect and unified life of being one with the Father. Real ministry happens and takes place when we live our lives with Jesus, listening to him and being guided by His voice and Spirit within us.
* I believe Jesus had a constant connection and relationship with His Father! Jesus describes this living relationship in John chapter 8:28-30

A Light of breakthrough and a familiar love shining through in ways that only God can shine!!!
Ever since I was little, I loved the sport of American Football. Most of my memories of high school football give me a lot of sadness and regret. But I love the memories that I have with my teammates and how God has worked through the struggle and pain of football to bless me to be once again a part of the sport that I love so much. I am amazed and how God has worked through football in my own life and now has used me in the sport that I love so much to be a light in Christ to others!
Just as I was feeling like this month was a waste and I didn’t know what to do, a familiar face showed up and brought me a gift that would ultimately be a weapon that God would use to work amazingly through!
My special friend and sister in Christ, Carly Cronin moved to Nepal to work for an organization called, “Tiny Hands International.” Carly is an amazing friend who the Lord has used to really impact my life! She is a huge reason that I am on the World Race now! She being the amazing friend that she is, brought me an American Football! I was so so blessed to see Carly and to spend time with her for about two weeks before I left! Not only did my time with Carly bless me more than I knew, the gift of a football blessed me to be able to connect and reach out to kids within thr village in an amazing way!
The team and I started going to a park in hoping to get back to the way that we all love to share Jesus with others, by building relationships and friendships in a real and true way with people. In loving people where they are at and not forcing them to believe anything, but rather in hopes of them experiencing the love and life of Christ in and through us by God’s love and Holy Spirit alive within us.
So once again God amazed me and we met around 30 to 40 kids at a park that we had never met before. I started teaching them how to catch and throw a football. They loved it and became really good at it! I even was able to teach them how to run routes and yet again God worked through the sport of football in ways that only He can!
We were able to build friendships and share the love of Christ through playing football with them!
I can’t express the love that I have for God and how he works in ways that only he can work! Especially when we does it through building relationships and through sports like football and many others!
That even people who have never heard of Jesus can experience Him when we live lives of loving others in and through Jesus Christ within us
“ No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.”
GOD IS LOVE…
AND THEY WILL KNOW WE ARE CHRISTIANS BY OUR LOVE TO OTHERS…
