I officially started fundraising last Friday, as i sent out my first fundraising letters to a lot of people, mostly close friends and family. So if you got a letter, consider yourself a close friend! (Unless you are family, which i guess could mean you are both a close friend and family..) I have already received one couple that has decided they would like to support me with a monthly scholarship (PTL!) and I have had discussions with others who are continuing to pray and considering what God may have them do. This is so cool, to see God work. I was 99.99% sure that the World Race was for me at this time in my life and this last .01% is coming from seeing God provide for this trip, because without God's provision through his obedient servants, I would not be able to go on this trip. It is just providing me with a some assurance that I am doing what God wants me to do. So to all those who received a letter and are checking out this blog now, thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to see what this crazy awesome adventure is all about! I will continue to pray that God would work through his children to help support me on this experience of a lifetime. And to those of you who have already donated or committed to prayer, THANK YOU!!!!!! I can't and won't be able to say that enough to you! I will try to continue blogging more frequently as the summer goes on and I continue the battle with my to-do list! I ask that you keep me in your prayers that funds would continue to come in and that God would continue to speak confidence, strength and courage to fulfill his purpose for me!
