hey everyone!!!
wow I can’t believe I have literally only been here almost 3 weeks now! God is doing incredible things in me and through me so far. Most of my ministry I have been doing so far on my trip has been alot of English classes and alot of physical labor. The physical labor has definitely been taking a toll on my body and I am very tired at the end of the day. A lot of people think that physical labor doesnt have that much affect on people, but doing physical labor is still bringing glory to God. picking up trash in a community is still bringing glory to God, painting a building is still bringing glory to God. People think that doing the small things dont matter as much as the big things but they are wrong! Doing things for the glory of the Lord no matter how dirty the job is or small the Job is still has huge impact because what you might think is small is huge in someone elses eyes. These small things like painting a house is huge in a community because we painted the community center and its in the center of the town and people started to show up to play sports, teach English, And to play on the playground. Painting the community center was incredible because we got to work with people from the community and just show the love of Jesus to the people while painting. These thing are exhausting to us, but I realized a lot this month that these things are super important because we are doing it unto God and not unto man. I’m doing this as an act of worship to God and realizing that now because in the beginning I thought ugh! just some more physical labor when are we gonna get to the real stuff, but this is the real stuff this is where we can glorify God even in the ordinary things that we do in life. I also learned more that even after our ministry hours for the day that doesn’t mean our ministry is over God has used me so much just by talking to people on the bus even if I struggle to speak the language. I have gotten to pray and share the gospel so much on the bus lately just because I have realized how much of an opportunity there is all around me. A thing to challenge people is realizing the glory in the ordinary. Each day is a new day and so many opportunities to bring glory to God even in your small moments at work you can still do it with the attitude that it is unto God and not man.
