Same Sex Marriage… Is legal… In the United States of America…
Now, before I even start saying anything about this, let me just say this. I am not about to go off and condemn anyone. I am not about to talk badly about anyone. I am not about to judge anyone. I am not about to say how I can’t believe this just happened. I am not about to list a bunch of possible solutions to this “problem”. And I am not about to say that what I’m writing is what people should believe and agree with.
What I’m about to say is Gods Word. What I’m about to say comes from Gods heart. What I’m about to say comes from my heart. What I’m about to say is biblical. And what I’m about to say should be thought about deeply before there is any reaction. And because what I’m about to say comes from Gods Word, Gods heart, and my heart, it comes out of TRUE LOVE.
Dear Americans,
I love you. More importantly, God loves you. And God loves you so much, that He came to us in the flesh and was crucified on the cross for our salvation. He paid the ultimate price. FOR ALL OF US. You see, we are all sinners. And as sinners that have rebeled against our Creator, we needed a savior. And a Savior is what we got! Jesus Christ. And now, for all that believes, for all that put their trust and have faith in Christ, we are saved. And with salvation, comes transformation. And as we transform, we look different. We look different because we are different. We are different because we have THE LIVING GOD LIVING WITHIN US! And we have the living God living within us, because we believe. God is alive. And God is moving. Congratulations, you just heard the Gospel.
Now, as a fellow believer in Christ, let me speak to you other believers about this “Same Sex Marriage”. We know God created man and woman. And He created us to be united as one as a man and a woman. This would be called marriage, and it is one of the most beautiful things God has wired inside of us as His creation. It is… Beautiful. It is also a piece of imagery that helps us to understand Christ and the Church. We, the Church are His bride… And this is SUCH an amazing thing to think about… However, we must also understand that non believers DO NOT understand. For this is something that is revealed to people as people believe.. And remember the process that happens from believing?.. That’s why we get it, and they (non believers) don’t. Now, before we all get pumped up and want to fight this same sex ordeal, let me remind you of Paul’s words… As well as Johns. 1 Corinthians 5:9-13.
” 9 When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin. 10 But I wasn’t talking about unbelievers who indulge in sexual sin, or are greedy, or cheat people, or worship idols. You would have to leave this world to avoid people like that. 11 I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer[a] yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people. 12 It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. 13 God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.”[b]”…
1 John 2:15-17
“15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.”
Don’t judge the non believers, God will take care of them. It is within the Church that we MUST be true and biblical. Sexual immorality within the Church is NOT ok. And this isn’t just homosexuality in practice. This is lust, pornography, adultery, cohabitation, premarital sex, as well as homosexuality in practice. They are all EQUALLY sinful. And we go about this out of love. Because we LOVE those within the Church, we are compelled, by Christ within us, to act.
Dont give in to worldly cravings and desires. The things of this world will soon vanish. People crave to be happy and therefore seek after selfish pleasures. Why is Same Sex Marriage a thing? Because people only crave the things of this world. And therefore, they show they have no love for our Father. We are called to love the people of this world, just as Christ has came and showed us that He loves us. But from the love of Christ, we know that mere human worldy things can not even compare to heavenly eternal things. We have the ultimate kind of love within us.
However, this does not give us the excuse to not stand up and fight for what God has made very clear. We just need to better understand how to go about it, and go about it biblically and completely out of Christ’s love.
Now, to believers and to those who do not believe or who do not follow Christ, let me say this. No. Let God say this.
“God Is Love.” – 1 John 4:8
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge, but to save the world through him.” – John 3:16-17
“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[a]) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:31-39
So ultimately, here’s the deal. God does love you. And His love and grace is open for everyone. And there is nothing greater in this whole universe than His love. And I think you just got reminded or found out about his love. Why run from that? Why resist that?
ITS BECAUSE OF THAT LOVE, that I will never support nor rejoice about same sex marriage! ITS BECAUSE OF THAT LOVE, that I stand firm in my faith! ITS BECAUSE OF THAT LOVE, that I will encourage anyone and everyone to run from all sexual immorality! ITS BECAUE OF THAT LOVE, that I know what REAL TRUE GENUINE LOVE is! ITS BECUASE OF THAT LOVE, that I love!
So Same Sex Marriage…. It is not good. It is not from God. But. That will NEVER change the reality that God LOVES you. And He has came to set us free from our bondage to sin. Death has no sting, for Christ has given us life! So please, let’s try to understand this massive, uncomprehendable, infinite, love that God has bestowed upon us! Because its out of that love, that we say marriage… Marriage is for a man and a woman. ONLY. But it’s also out of that love, that we say… I love you.
