Hello my name is Ryan Brown! Thank you for taking time to look at my blog!
Some info regarding who I am:
I am currently 22 years old, and am finishing my last semester of college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (confusing name I know). I will graduate in December with a bachelors degree in Environmental Geography/ GIS (Geographical Information Systems). I grew up about an hour away from school in blue-collar Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Was born in Rhode Island, which doesn’t matter to anyone.
I have a wonderful family that loves each other and are very intentional with having a relationship with one another. In my family I’m blessed to have 3 sisters who have been such a huge part of my life and taught me so much, and to have 2 parents who are encouraging me along in my walk with Christ as welll!
I’m the kind of person who struggles with FOMO (fear of missing out) on a daily basis. I think nearly everything is worthy of exploring or an intriguing thing to do. I enjoy hottubbing(yes it is a hobby), hunting, water skiing, snowboarding, hiking, Eno’ing (doing that right now actually!), playing guitar, exploring new music, watching documentaries, filming/compiling documentaries, photography, fishing, glassading (look it up), jumping from high places, Geocaching, going to concerts or theatrical performances, watching sports, or playing them– especially soccer. And traveling, I like to travel.
I also enjoy just being still– Especially in God’s creation or in a mellow cafe. Much of my hobbies are outdoor related, and truly I do have a love for the natural world. I have had the opportunity to live in Yellowstone National Park for a summer, and more recently Juneau, Alaska for the last two summers. In these places I have really explored more of my academic thought-life regarding One’s perspective or love towards a particular Place. Driving across the continent, and traveling to other countries for missions work, or even just watching “Life in a Day” has given me a global perspective that’s shaped me into who I am today. I often think in a more general, subjective way. I generally ask more questions than I attempt to answer them.
A year ago I would have described myself as an extrovert, now I’d say I have more introverted characteristics–which is still weird to say. If i’m most comfortable among people… I’m goofy and vulnerable.
