I’m alive! I havnt had any internet access since I left Guatemala, today we are at a mall in the capital city of Honduras. We left Antigua Guatemala last Thursday at 5 am and after a 16 hr bus ride arrived just outside Tegucigalpa, Honduras about 9 pm. The entire squad is all living together this month. Our contact, Tony Deien and his wife are amazing, we are at a place called Zions Gate. They are hosting all of us here and my team ‘ignite’ is teaming up with team ‘Zoe’ this month, we are running a camp for kids ages 6-12 Monday- Friday. These kids light up my day, their love and pure joy comes straight from the Lord. As I’ve been seeking out the Lords love deeper recently he has been revealing it to me in the good gifts he gives me daily and the way others care and love for me. These kids Love Hugs! In a country where 8/10 children don’t know who their father is, they need Men in their lives who love and care for them. My prayer is that every child in this country come to know God as their father, that men here and all over the world start acting like men,love their children, love their wives and love their father in heaven. We were made in Gods image, and he is faithful. Men, let’s be faithful! Live a life of integrity. Show those in our lives how much we truly care.
– I am sleeping up in my tent this month, but we are blessed to have an awesome building here on the property, it used to be the hottest nightclub in Tegucigalpa, years later now being turned into a refuge and home for missionaries to stay, children and a place where street kids can come and Thrive! The Lords blessing is here on Zions Gate, the presence of the Lord is here!
– We have 3 meals prepared for us daily, some of which I’m a fan of, some not so much. But how awesome is our God in heaven to bless 52 of us with cooked meals, never having to worry about my next meal. He provides!
-this month I have been able to get some good personal time with the father, my tent is my refuge and meeting with him has been good, I’m learning to be open and honest with him, if I’m frustrated, I’m gonna tell him I’m frustrated, just as daily we put on facades of “oh I’m doing great” sometimes that carries over to my time with God, he knows my heart! I need to be honest with him!
– over all I’m doing great, i have been fighting this ear infection for 2 weeks or so tho, please be praying for me in that, it’s been a thorn in my side but his grace is sufficient! I will be healed when he sees fit! I love and miss all of you, I think of back home often but this is my home, wherever he sends me! Home is where the heart is, and my heart is with the father !
